I first became hooked on motorcycles in Knoxville, TN while attending
UT. I bought a 1966 Honda 350 scrambler. It has only been uphill
from there. After several more Hondas and getting married, I had to
put motorcycles to the side. My first Harley was purchased from
Jerry Bumpus at the Summer Ave. store - a 1989 Softail springer.
Now, four bikes later, I have a 2011 Ultra Limited.
After getting my Springer, I joined the Memphis HOG Chapter and
was a member for several years. After marrying Annette, she too
became active in motorcycling. She took the class, got a bike and has
been riding ever since. When the Ghost River HOG Chapter was
started, I became a charter member. I have been the Membership
officer for 2008, Assistant Director for 2009, Director for 2010
and now the Head Road Captain for 2011. I am looking forward to
another great year of riding with my Ghost River family.
